"Father, you can't do this," Chris' father protested. "He's our son!"
"He's a man, he can cope," Father answered, looking to Chris. "Gather your equipment, Christopher."
Chris scowled at the old man, but knew he had no choice and went to his room to start equipping his armor and weapons.
Lachlan sighed. "Alright so once we contact Henderson it should take around eight hours for the Vertibird to reach Boston, anywhere specific you want it to land?"
"A building east of Diamond City," Father answered. "There is a helipad on the roof. It's near where your vertibird landed. He'll rendezvous without an escort of your power armored soldiers."
Chris came out wearing his ballistic vest and trenchcoat over his Vaultsuit. His duffle bag and combat sniper rifle were slung over his shoulder while his laser pistol was holstered to his thigh.
"Chris..." his mother tried to approach him, but before she could, a flash of blue light took him away and into the world.
(I See some loopholes Henderson can use.)
"Ok I'll tell him no escorts with power armor but he will bring escorts his safety is a priority as well not just the institutes." Lachlan said.
Light surrounded them both and they found themselves in a lonely alleyway in Diamond City, where they left their pilot and Chris' robot. A serious looking man and woman on both sides of them wore casual looking civilian attire, nodded at them both, and walked off.
Chris found himself in the city just outside of Bunker Hill, with nowhere to go but forward. Bunker Hill was his only lead, for now. But he didn't even knkw what he would do when he found Helen. Or if. The bright numbers of 111 on his back shined in the light as his coat billowed behind him and he walked onwards.
