There are three kinds of users with access to additional tools at the Fallout Roleplaying wiki - content moderators, administrators/system operators (sysop) and bureaucrats.

Descriptions[]

  • Content moderators have have the ability to roll back edits with one click and mark edits as patrolled. Can also protect/delete articles and delete/rename files.
  • Administrators/system operators have access to the same tools as a moderator, and in addition can delete pages, protect pages, and ban users from the wiki.
  • Bureaucrats have access to the same tools as an administrator/system operator, and in addition can grant and revoke administrative rights.

User rights requests[]

For you to become a moderator, a bureaucrat must grant you rights. After contributing in earnest for one month, rights can be requested via message wall of a bureaucrat. Explain your interest in moderation, your contributions to the wiki, and any experience you wish to highlight. If the request is granted, three months after moderator rights are given, administrative rights can be requested in the same fashion.

Please note that the additional user rights are not a reward for good contributions nor a promotion to have more authority than other users. Simply put, a special rights user is a user who is being trusted with access to certain technical features to aid in article or community maintenance.

Not everyone who meets the requirements will automatically become a special rights user, and bureaucrats can appoint special rights users outside of the process above. In addition, bureaucrats can remove rights at their discretion. Any conflict, questions, or disagreement between users should be brought to the attention of a bureaucrat.
